NIGERIA SWEEP GLO CAF AWARD: WINNERS LIST

It was a coronation of sorts for Nigeria on Thursday, as the nation swept almost all the awards at the Glo-CAF Awards ceremony held at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos. 

 

The Super Eagles set the ball rolling as the Nations Cup Champions were named Team of the Year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crowned 

 

Then, the Golden Eaglets,  crowned World U17 Champions in UAE, were named the Youth National Team of the Year. That award was followed by the one won by the Nigeria Supporters Club, as the winners of the Fair Play Award.

 

The coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, was named the. Coach of the Year, following which Kelechi Iheanacho was named CAF Most Promising Talent. 

 

The only two awards that escaped the grasp of Nigeria were the Club of the Year Award, which Egyptian side, Al Ahly won, and the Referee of the Year Award, won by Haimoudi Djamel of Algeria.
